Midnights A Lonesome Place

by Midsummerseve

I hear the clock and it's striking twelve
I know this scene
no sanity
deep in the ravens spell
the sadness of this lovers tomb
rings through the night like a voice of doom

(chorus)
when daylight breaks I'll
have the strenghth to stand
pick up the pieces
yes, I know I can
turn loose of the hold
this night has on me
but until then in
every shadow I
see your face and mid-
nights a lonesome place

an image stirs in the fading light
cries out to me
why did she leave?
why did she say goodbye?
the silence of this empty room
dispels the anger left here by you

(repeat chorus)

A breath of fear carried on the wind
stirs up my mind
time after time
with your memory again
outside the thunder and lightning clash
inside my heart is the living past
