I Fall For You in Autumn
by rawland
I fall for you
in autumn
as surely
as color fills each tree;
it’s not done in vein—
I can’t complain—
for your love, too
is inside of me;
I fall for you
in autumn
when you leave me
all alone—
as bare
as the branches
you played on—
calling each one
your own;
I fall for you
in autumn—
you’re a harvest
to explore;
you have grown on me—
inexplicably—
yet, I still crave for more;
I fall for you in autumn
for like the sun through frost
your love, rainbows achieves;
I fall for you in autumn
like a boy
into a pile of leaves.
